Consumer Advocate Program
Opening Doors for All Lucas County Consumers
The
Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Lucas County funds the Consumer
Advocate Program, which is available to all mental health customers in Lucas
County who want help advocating for themselves. Lillian Harris has worked in
this role for over 15 years. Here are
just a few of the areas in which she can be of assistance:

Resolving concerns with provider agencies
Filing grievances or complaints
Housing
Benefits
News in recovery
Social services
Non-legal problems
Utility bills
Community and state resources on mental health
Information & training on advance directives, legal documents
that tell others what to do in the event of a mental health crisis.
